The new XANTO S is the result of the consistent further development of proven ONLINE UPS concepts. This premium-class UPS protects servers, switchgear, IT, and sensitive applications from power outages and data loss.

XANTO's double-conversion technology ensures complete decoupling of loads from the power grid. This means that even extreme voltage fluctuations, voltage spikes, and harmonics do not damage the supplied devices. In the event of a power failure, a smooth, guaranteed uninterrupted transition is achieved. XANTO's outstanding innovation is its pioneering DYNAMIC POWER TECHNOLOGY (DPT). This dynamically adapts the UPS system's output power to its loads and, if necessary, increases the active power (watts) up to its nominal value (watts = VA). This provides more power than conventional UPS systems. Furthermore, the new XANTO provides more than twice the backup time of its predecessor. Another advantage is the low operating costs thanks to its efficiency of up to 97%.

FLEXIBLE INSTALLATION
XANTO's innovative device class offers limitless configuration options: XANTO is available either as a classic tower or in a rack-tower combination design with only 2 height units. The rack-tower combination design allows for flexible installation, especially after relocation or system expansion. The UPS system's display is adapted to the horizontal installation without the need for tools, and the included 19″ brackets are mounted.

SOFTWARELESS LOAD SHUTDOWN
With the switchable output sockets on all XANTO models, even consumers can be automatically switched off without an interface or software. This reduces the load on XANTO during battery operation and extends the backup time for the remaining critical consumers.

SCALABLE BRIDGE TIME
With external battery packs, XANTO can tailor the backup time to your specific requirements. This means that shutting down large networks or backing up extensive data sets no longer poses a security risk.
Following extensive redesign of the UPS's internal charger, up to seven additional battery packs can be retrofitted to a XANTO (model 1000 and above). This allows the XANTO 1000, for example, to achieve a typical backup time of over 650 minutes. This is more than double that of the previous model.

BATTERY DEEP DISCHARGE PROTECTION
+ COLD START FUNCTION
A new feature at XANTO is the battery protection function against deep discharge. Its activation and parameterization can be done either directly via the UPS system menu or via the DataWatch software. Deep discharge protection shuts down the UPS system before the battery suffers irreparable damage. With XANTO's additional cold start function, the UPS system can be started directly from the battery, without primary mains voltage. This is very popular when using the UPS system as an emergency power generator.

Flexible: SNMP adapter and DataWatch software

The optional SNMP adapter is the professional solution for multi-server shutdown and remote administration of the UPS. Thanks to a powerful 32-bit RISC processor
The SNMP adapter supports all familiar functions, such as automatic data backup with the closure of running applications and orderly shutdown of the entire system. In addition, a comprehensive messaging system, freely programmable routines, time-controlled tests, and event logging are mandatory.

A temperature or temperature/humidity sensor can also be connected directly to the “professional” version (item no. DW5SNMP30).

The DataWatch software is included as standard with the XANTO series. It communicates continuously with XANTO via RS-232 or USB interface and monitors all processes. DataWatch operates in the background and is the comprehensive software solution for shutting down and managing the PC or server system, as well as monitoring the XANTO and the power grid.

The RCCMD software agent is recommended for shutting down multiple servers connected to a UPS. It operates event-driven, thus reducing unnecessary network traffic.

All communication works across operating systems.

For communication with IBM AS400 servers or for integration into industrial switchgear, XANTO can be supplemented with an optional AS400/relay card. Its terminal block provides potential-free signaling contacts (via relays) for the following functions: normal operation, battery operation, low battery voltage, bypass operation, standby operation, and collective fault. Remote UPS shutdown can be performed via an additional input contact.
