The ExpressCage MB741SP-B is a compact storage solution for 2.5″ SSDs or HDDs in a 3.5″ bay. The increasing popularity of SFF (Small Form Factor) systems due to their space savings and lower power consumption has led to a need for a matching storage solution in an equally compact design. In response to these requirements, the new ExpressTray tray offers completely tool-free drive installation without sacrificing security. This is achieved through a new screwless retention mechanism, stabilized guide rails, and a one-piece handle. Furthermore, the robust metal housing offers protection against shocks and vibrations, while the integrated ventilation openings ensure that your drives are efficiently cooled at all times, even under heavy loads.

Space saver
The MB741SP-B fits into an external 3.5″ bay (also known as a floppy drive bay) and is ideal for applications with limited space, such as small form factor (SFF) PCs, embedded systems, box PCs, automotive systems, and home servers that benefit from a removable drive bay for 2.5″ SAS/SATA drives. Easy front access makes installation, upgrades, and maintenance particularly straightforward.

The ExpressTray MB741TP-B is designed for professional applications that require hot-swap capability while maintaining security and robust construction. Integrated side grips securely hold your drives in the tray, helping to protect your important data. Supporting 15mm drive heights, the ExpressCage MB741SP-B is compatible with virtually all 2.5″ SAS (single-channel) hard drives and data center/NAS drives, including Seagate Enterprise Nytro, EXOS, and Ironwolf, WD Red and Ultrastar, HP Enterprise (HPE), Toshiba Enterprise, and all other enterprise-level drives.

The unique integrated screws allow for completely tool-free drive installation and removal for quick and easy hot swap changes.

In addition, the trays also have two additional, optional, mounting holes in case you want to fix the drives even more securely.

The extra-rugged, one-piece handle pops up at the touch of a button, allowing for easy removal of your drive. The integrated status LED glows blue when the mobile rack is ready and flashes blue while the drive is being accessed, letting you know when it's safe to remove.
