The parallel use of multiple internet access points ensures ideal network load distribution and optimal bandwidth utilization (load balancing). Central network management via the LANCOM Management Cloud (LMC) rounds out the overall package of the LANCOM 1936VAG-5G and automates the administration of medium-sized and large networks.

Optimally tailored to these requirements, the LANCOM 1936VAG-5G, with two integrated VDSL supervectoring modems, enables data rates of up to 2x 300 Mbps in total, as well as G.Fast connections of up to 1,000 Mbps via one of the two modems. The gateway can be connected directly to a fiber optic cable (FTTH) via the SFP/TP combo port and a separately available SFP module (GPON / AON). In combination with Gigabit Ethernet for connecting external modems, the Multi-WAN SD-WAN gateway offers the highest possible interface diversity and the greatest possible flexibility with regard to the Internet connections available at the location. With the parallel use of multiple Internet connections (load balancing: active/active), the LANCOM 1936VAG-5G also ensures ideal load distribution of the data volume and a further increase in the available bandwidth.

High Scalability VPN significantly improves the scalability and efficiency of your architecture. Where previously a separate VPN tunnel was required for each application, HSVPN bundles any number of networks into a single VPN tunnel and transports them collectively to the remote site – each network remaining secure and strictly separated from each other. The advantage for your business: significantly fewer VPN tunnels are required and faster recovery times in the event of failover. And if you still need more VPN tunnels, the LANCOM VPN 100 option is available, allowing you to securely integrate up to 100 locations or remote employees into the corporate network simultaneously.

Equipped with the LANCOM VCM (Voice Call Manager), the LANCOM SD-WAN VoIP Gateway handles traditional telephony management tasks and integrates all types of telephony components such as SIP, ISDN, or analog. The LANCOM VCM also offers common functions of a Session Border Controller (SBC): This enables the secure separation of external (insecure) and internal (secure) networks. Bandwidth reservation ensures preferential treatment of voice packets (quality of service) for high call quality. Furthermore, as a SIP proxy, the VCM enables professional management of signaling and voice data for high security when establishing, conducting, and terminating telephone calls, including the necessary protocol conversion via transcoding. The VoIP Gateway conveniently handles the translation between ISDN, analog, and VoIP.
