With the second SFP+ port, the Multi-Gigabit SD-WAN Gateway can distribute data at full speed across the LAN in parallel, while any external modem or a Multi-Gigabit Access Switch can be flexibly connected via 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet. For secure network access in the office, at home, or on the go, 25 (optionally 100) locations and mobile employees are securely connected with excellent LANCOM IPSec VPN and SD-WAN. By integrating the LANCOM 2100EF into the LANCOM Management Cloud (LMC), you can centralize and automate its management.

With LANCOM SD-WAN, you can manage and monitor your entire corporate network centrally, cost-effectively, quickly, and stress-free! In combination with the LANCOM Management Cloud, the SD-WAN gateway opens up all the possibilities for automated setup of secure VPN connections (Auto-VPN) between locations, including network virtualization. Highlight features such as High Scalability VPN (HSVPN) and Advanced Mesh VPN offer you significant scalability and efficiency gains for multiple branch offices and applications. Furthermore, if multiple WAN connections are defined, they are automatically operated in active/active mode (load balancing), thereby increasing the total available bandwidth. Dynamic Path Selection and Dynamic Traffic Steering also dynamically route applications via the currently best connection.

The LANCOM 2100EF SD-WAN gateway enables connection to fiber optic lines (FTTH) via 10G SFP+ ports using a separately available transceiver module. By connecting to modern 10G-capable XGS-PON broadband networks, you create ideal conditions for real-time applications such as surveillance systems, real-time simulations (digital twins), and other time-critical applications. Alternatively, you can also use GPON and AON modules for the backward-compatible LANCOM 2100EF to achieve speeds of up to 1 Gbps. This makes the multi-gigabit SD-WAN gateway suitable for gradual modernization in all application areas and industries and forms the basis for reliable, high-performance, and future-proof networking.

Professional, comprehensive telephony functions
Equipped with the LANCOM VCM (Voice Call Manager), the LANCOM 2100EF performs traditional telephony management tasks. The LANCOM VCM also offers common Session Border Controller (SBC) functions: This enables secure separation of external (insecure) and internal (secure) networks. Bandwidth reservation ensures preferential treatment of voice packets (quality of service) for high call quality.

High-performance Gigabit Multi-WAN & Load Balancing
With the LANCOM 2100EF, you can optionally use a variety of internet connections on a single device: In addition to convenient connectivity to up to two fiber optic lines, 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet also supports the connection of external provider modems. With the parallel use of multiple internet connections (active/active load balancing), the Multi-Gigabit SD-WAN gateway also ensures ideal data load distribution and further increases the available bandwidth.

High Scalability VPN (HSVPN)
Constantly growing digitalization, increasing application diversity, and larger data volumes require powerful and modern networks. High Scalability VPN significantly improves the scalability and efficiency of your architecture. Where previously a separate VPN tunnel was required for each application, HSVPN bundles any number of networks into a single VPN tunnel and transports them collectively to the remote site – each network remaining secure and strictly separated from each other. The advantage for your business: significantly fewer VPN tunnels are required and faster recovery times in the event of failover. And if you still need more VPN tunnels, the LANCOM VPN 100 option is available, allowing you to securely integrate up to 100 locations or remote employees into the corporate network simultaneously.
