The HPE 1950 Switch Series are intelligent web-managed Gigabit switches with 10GbE uplinks for small businesses that require advanced, high-performance connections. The series includes 2 standard and 2 PoE+ models, 24 and 48 GbE ports, each with 2 10GBASE-T and 2 10G SFP+ wide bandwidth ports.

True stacking of up to 4 devices allows them to be logically managed as a single unit. The switches support static Layer 3 routing for IPv4 and IPv6.

Other advanced features include ACLs, 802.1X, STP, RSTP and MSTP. Limited lifetime warranty covers unit, fans and power supplies.

Features

Gigabit at its best with 10GbE networking for advanced small businesses.
– Each HPE 1950 Switch Series model includes four 10GbE connections for connecting to servers, network storage devices, or other switches.
– Two 10GBASE-T connections deliver 10GbE performance over Category 6a copper cables for simple, cost-effective, high-bandwidth connections over a maximum distance of 100 meters.
– Two SFP+ ports enable fiber connections over various distances at 1/10GbE speeds with optional SFP+ 10GbE or SFP Gigabit transceivers.
– Aggregated 10GbE connections for even greater bandwidth with Link Aggregation Control Protocol.

Simplified network management
– Logically group or “stack” up to four HPE 1950 Switch Series units and manage them as a single unit to dramatically simplify network management. Connect stacked devices over 10GbE connections, with up to 40GbE total stacking bandwidth for the connected devices.
– Use the intuitive web browser-based interface to configure and manage these intelligently managed devices.
– These devices support SNMP versions 1, 2c and 3, allowing these devices to be managed via an SNMP-based remote management platform.
– Network Time Protocol simplifies time tracking across your network, keeping timed actions and troubleshooting protocols in sync.
– Devices automatically obtain an IP address from a DHCP server, enabling near-instant deployments.

Reliable security to protect your network
– The HPE 1950 Switch Series allows you to use virtual LANs and ACLs to set limits on what data can be viewed by which users.
– Use 802.1X with a RADIUS server to ensure only known and authorized users can access your network.
– Various features protect your network from user or server spoofing and malicious network attacks.
– Ensure secure traffic management with supported SSL/HTTPS encryption and SNMPv3 capabilities.

Resiliency features to keep your network running
– The HPE 1950 Switch Series supports Spanning Tree Protocol, Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol, and Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol standards to create turnkey recovery connections.
– Distribute critical connections across multiple devices in a logical stack for greater resiliency. Units can also be in different buildings and still be stacked logically.
– Devices support two independent primary and secondary OS flash images for backup and restore during device upgrades.
– Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) models can be combined with an optional redundant power system that maintains power even if the unit's power fails, supplementing the available PoE power up to 780 watts.
