Synology RX418 can also be used as a dedicated local backup location of Synology 1U RackStation for comprehensive data protection.

Synology RX418 is ready to use immediately after connecting to the appropriate Synology RackStation. Hard drives in the connected Synology RX418 work as if they were installed internally in the connected Synology NAS and can be managed directly via Synology DiskStation Manager (DSM) without the need to install additional software.

Environmentally friendly and easy to manage
The award-winning Synology DiskStation Manager (DSM) provides an intuitive user interface for easy system management. Hard drive hibernation can be set in DSM to automatically activate when the system is inactive for a certain period of time, saving energy and extending the lifespan of the hard drives.
