The HPE 1950 Switch Series is a line of intelligent web-managed Gigabit switches with 10GbE uplinks for small businesses that require advanced, high-performance connectivity. The series includes 2 standard and 2 PoE+ models, 24 and 48 GbE ports, each with 2 high-bandwidth 10GBASE-T and 2 10G SFP+ ports.

True stacking of up to 4 devices allows them to be logically managed as a single unit. The switches support static Layer 3 routing for IPv4 and IPv6.

Other advanced features include ACLs, 802.1X, STP, RSTP, and MSTP. Limited lifetime warranty covers unit, fans, and power supplies.

functions

Gigabit at the highest level with 10GbE network for progressive small businesses.
– Each HPE 1950 Switch Series model includes four 10GbE connections for connecting to servers, network storage devices, or other switches.
– Two 10GBASE-T links deliver 10GbE performance over Category 6a copper cabling for simple, cost-effective, high-bandwidth connections over a maximum distance of 100 meters.
– Two SFP+ ports enable fiber optic connections over various distances at 1/10GbE speeds with optional SFP+ 10GbE or SFP Gigabit transceivers.
– Aggregate 10GbE connections for even greater bandwidth with Link Aggregation Control Protocol.

Simplified network management
– Logically group or “stack” up to four HPE 1950 Switch Series units and manage them as a single unit to greatly simplify network management. Connect stacked units using 10GbE links, with up to a total of 40GbE stacking bandwidth for the connected units.
– Use the intuitive web browser-based interface to configure and manage these intelligently managed devices.
– These devices support SNMP versions 1, 2c and 3, allowing these devices to be managed through an SNMP-based remote management platform.
– Network Time Protocol simplifies time tracking across your network so that timed actions and troubleshooting logs remain synchronized.
– Units automatically obtain an IP address from a DHCP server, enabling near-instant deployments.

Reliable security to protect your network
– The HPE 1950 Switch Series enables you to use virtual LANs and ACLs to restrict what data can be viewed by which users.
– Use 802.1X with a RADIUS server to ensure that only known and authorized users can access your network.
– Various features protect your network from user or server spoofing and malicious network attacks.
– Ensure secure traffic management with supported SSL/HTTPS encryption and SNMPv3 capabilities.

Resilience features to keep your network up and running
– The HPE 1950 Switch Series supports Spanning Tree Protocol, Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol, and Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol standards for creating ready-to-use recovery connections.
– Distribute important connections across multiple units in a logical stack for greater reliability. Units can also be located in different buildings and still be logically stacked.
– Devices support two independent primary and secondary operating system flash images for backup and recovery during unit upgrades.
– Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) models can be combined with an optional redundant power supply system that maintains power even if the unit's power supply fails, supplementing the available PoE power up to 780 watts.
