The Web Smart Managed Gigabit Switches of the DGS-1210 series support numerous features normally found only in high-end switches. They ensure maximum control, service, and security, but without the complexity of an enterprise switch. Their low administration effort makes them ideal for use in small and medium-sized businesses. In addition, some models in the series operate silently thanks to their fanless design, making them suitable for open office environments.

High functionality thanks to bandwidth control and QoS
The switches boast sophisticated QoS features for automatic prioritization of digital data packets. For optimal voice quality in VoIP applications, Voice VLAN support ensures that voice traffic is automatically shifted to a VLAN with the highest priority. Bandwidth control also allows network administrators to limit bandwidth for downstream devices. Furthermore, DGS-1210 models are equipped with numerous Layer 2 features, including IGMP snooping, port mirroring, and the LACP trunking protocol. Rapid Spanning Tree and Loopback Detection immediately detect redundant loops and automatically block the duplicate connection. Cable diagnostics allow network administrators to quickly determine and resolve the status and potential malfunctions of the copper cables.

Fiber Uplinks
The advantages of fiber optic uplinks are obvious: on the one hand, they allow for greater distances to be covered, and on the other, they are less susceptible to interference. They have proven their worth not only in large-scale installations, but also in industrial environments.

Flexible with PoE
Power over Ethernet eliminates the need for power outlets at end devices. With Cat. 5 network cabling, PoE-enabled end devices are supplied with power and data simultaneously.

Network management made easy
The DGS-1210 Series Smart Switches offer simple, cost-effective network management functions, especially for smaller businesses: The SmartConsole utility automatically detects additional D-Link Smart Switches within the same Layer 2 segment. A straightforward startup setup simplifies and consolidates basic configurations such as password changes and firmware upgrades. For integrated monitoring and management of all critical network components, DGS-1210 Series switches support management via TELNET Basic CLI, SNMP, and D-View 7 in addition to the web interface.

The green switch
The DGS-1210 series switches are equipped with D-Link Green Technology, which significantly reduces power consumption and thus operating costs without sacrificing performance. This enables even small and medium-sized businesses to build an energy-efficient network infrastructure.

Surveillance Mode
The Surveillance Mode in the web UI allows you to easily manage your network of surveillance devices. It automatically discovers your security devices and segments them into a dedicated Auto Surveillance VLAN to securely and efficiently handle video surveillance traffic.
