Description
D-Link DGS-1008MP. Switch type: Unmanaged. Basic switching RJ-45 Ethernet ports: Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000). Number of basic switching RJ-45 Ethernet ports: 8. Full duplex. MAC address table: 8000 entries. Routing/switching capacity: 16 Gbps. Network standards: IEEE 802.3ab, IEEE 802.3at, IEEE 802.3az, IEEE 802.3i, IEEE 802.3u, IEEE 802.3x. Power over Ethernet (PoE). Rack-mountable, form factor: 1U.
This compact and attractive device is the powerhouse among Power over Ethernet switches. It offers PoE according to the 802.3af/at standard on all eight Gigabit Ethernet ports with up to 30 watts per port and a maximum total power of 140 watts. This means you can operate multiple devices such as access points, IP phones, and surveillance cameras by simply connecting them via Ethernet cable – without the need for an additional power supply.
The DGS-1008MP features eight 10/100/1000BASE-T ports that support the PoE+ protocol, or the IEEE 802.3at standard. Each of the eight PoE+ ports delivers up to 30 watts, with a maximum total PoE power of 140 watts. PoE is especially useful for devices that are far from a power outlet or to eliminate the need for additional cables.
No configuration is required, and installation is quick and easy. With automatic MDI/MDI-X support on all ports, no crossover cables are required when connecting another switch. Auto-adaptation on each port detects the connection speed of network devices (10, 100, or 1000 Mbps), ensuring compatibility and optimal performance. The switch features a fanless design, ensuring silent operation in any deployment. With zero-degradation filtering and store-and-forward transmission, the DGS-1008MP maximizes network performance while minimizing the forwarding of corrupted network packets.
The DGS-1008MP switches offer both D-Link Green 3.0 technology and IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) to reduce operating costs without compromising performance or functionality. With D-Link Green technology, the switches continuously monitor the link status and network usage of each port. The switches also automatically detect cable length and can reduce transmission power for shorter cables. By using EEE-enabled devices on the DGS-1008MP, organizations can significantly reduce power consumption by automatically placing unused ports into a sleep mode.
