The AK-C8112 disinfectable hygienic keyboard with full layout is the all-rounder for hygiene-sensitive areas and impresses even demanding typists in everyday clinical and medical practice settings. Thanks to its silicone membrane with a particularly flat key profile, it offers outstanding cleaning and disinfection capabilities. Germ growth on contaminants and disinfectant residues in cavities is effectively prevented, making the AK-C8112 ideal for use in hospitals, medical practices, and microbiological laboratories. Depending on hygiene requirements, it is available with a sterilizable, replaceable membrane or a permanently installed silicone membrane with IP68 protection. From a technical perspective, the AK-C8112 scores points with its precise key guidance, durability, and ergonomics. The Clean function simplifies the cleaning process by deactivating the keypad during disinfection. With its standard layout of 104 or 105 keys, the AK-C8112 combines all the advantages of a hygienic keyboard with the incomparable typing feel of a premium office keyboard.

Disinfectable desktop hygiene keyboard with low-profile keys
Like all Active Key hygienic keyboards with the suffix -12 (e.g., AK-C7412, AK-C4012), the AK-C8112 hygienic keyboard also features a particularly low-profile key design. This demonstrably allows for the removal of more bacteria and germs during cleaning. This was also shown in a phosphorus gel emulation test of the AK-C8100 and AK-C7412 hygienic keyboards, conducted in cooperation with the Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Amberg-Weiden (OTH Amberg-Weiden). With the keyboard featuring the low-profile key design (AK-C7412), significantly fewer, or even no, cleaning residues remain between the keys after wipe disinfection compared to the keyboard with the higher profile (AK-C8100).
