Always stay online and prevent data loss
As soon as the power goes out, an APC Smart-UPS immediately provides backup power to all connected devices. Because this happens automatically with an APC UPS, you can prevent unwanted outages of a PC, server, or switch, for example. With APC PowerChute Network Shutdown software, you can even automatically and controlledly shut down critical IT hardware when the UPS battery is running low. This prevents data loss, downtime, and physical damage to the hardware.

Security
In addition, a Smart-UPS protects connected devices from voltage spikes caused by lightning, among other things. This APC emergency power supply is ideal for use in (small) businesses.

Manage your Smart-UPS
Thanks to the pre-installed network card (ap9641), you can easily connect the APC UPS to the network. This allows you to remotely monitor and manage the UPS (SNMP), and the UPS can send a shutdown signal to multiple physical and/or virtual servers using PowerChute Network Shutdown software.

PowerChute network shutdown
PowerChute Network Shutdown is UPS management software that works with the UPS network management card to protect Windows, Linux, and host ESXi, as well as hyperconverged and virtual infrastructure.* In the event of a power outage, PowerChute can gracefully shut down your virtual machines, and the preconfigured boot sequence ensures they are powered back on.

Remote management and monitoring of your network

Rack/Tower convertible
The APC Smart-UPS SUA5000RMI5U is a rack/tower conversion unit. With both feet and rack-mounting brackets included, you can mount it in a rack or place it upright.

Extend the lifespan
The SUA5000RMI5U contains two internal battery cartridges (RBC55), which can be easily, safely, and independently replaced by the user without having to turn off the APC UPS or connected equipment. This allows you to easily and cost-effectively extend the lifespan of the APC Smart-UPS and keep your equipment online.

Warranty extension
The SUA5000RMI5U comes with a 2-year factory warranty, which can be upgraded to 5 years with the APC Service Pack (WBEXTWAR3YR-SP-05).
