COOLING MANAGEMENT

Multiple temperature sources

Each header can be configured to monitor and respond to user-configurable thermal sensors to ensure load-dependent cooling. All settings can be easily managed via Fan Xpert 4 or UEFI.

4-pin fan connectors

In addition to the two CPU fan headers, the ROG Maximus Z890 Hero features four case headers, each supporting automatic detection of PWM or DC fans.

AIO pump connection

An additional PWM/DC fan header provides dedicated control for independent water cooling systems.

SIX ONBOARD M.2 SLOTS

The ROG Maximus Z890 Hero features six integrated M.2 slots, three of which are PCIe 5.0-capable and offer a blazing 16 GB/s, while the others still offer an impressive 8 GB/s via PCIe 4.0 interfaces. It also features a SlimSAS connector that supports PCIe 4.0 x4 mode or up to four SATA devices via a transfer cable. The cable is sold separately.
