The disinfectable, wireless AK-C8112 hygiene keyboard with full layout is the all-rounder for hygiene-sensitive areas and also impresses demanding frequent typists in everyday clinical and practice work. Thanks to the silicone membrane with a particularly flat key profile, it has excellent cleaning and disinfection capabilities. Germ growth on contaminants and disinfectant residues in cavities is effectively prevented, which is why the AK-C8112 is ideal for use in hospitals, doctor's offices and microbiological laboratories. Depending on the hygiene requirements, it is available with a sterilizable interchangeable membrane or a permanently installed silicone membrane with protection class IP 68. In addition to the cleaning properties, the AK-C8112 scores from a technical point of view with precise key guidance, durability and a stable 2.4 GHz wireless connection. With the standard layout of 104 or 105 keys, the AK-C8112 combines all the advantages of a hygienic keyboard with the incomparable typing feel of a premium office keyboard.

Disinfectable desktop hygiene keyboard with flat key profile
Like all Active Key hygiene keyboards with the name ending in -12 (e.g. AK-C7412, AK-C4012), the AK-C8112 hygiene keyboard also has a particularly flat key profile. This means that more bacteria and germs can be removed during cleaning. This was also shown by a phosphor gel emulation test of the AK-C8100 hygiene keyboard and the AK-C7412 hygiene keyboard, which was carried out together with the Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Amberg-Weiden. With the keyboard with the low key profile (AK-C7412), significantly less or no cleaning residue remains in the spaces between the keys after wiping disinfection than with the keyboard with the higher profile (AK-C8100).
