The GVT-2003 SMF ST media converter can convert network signals between copper and fiber-optic networks. Equipped with a 10/100/1000Base-T RJ-45 port, the converter supports full-duplex and half-duplex switch connectivity and automatic 10Base-T, 100Base-TX, and 1000Base-T detection. When used in single-mode fiber optic cabling, the network range can be extended up to 20 km.

The device has integrated dip switches for easy converter configuration, is based on the intelligent LFP (Link Fault Pass-through), which allows the converter to monitor both fiber optic and copper connections for signal loss, monitor cut-through and smart pass-through mode.

The GVT-2003 can operate at temperatures ranging from -10° to 55° Celsius. The converter can be used as a standalone system or as a plug-in module in the CHV-2000 19-inch converter rack, which can accommodate up to 14 devices for use in a central distribution cabinet.
