With the Edge Explore, you don't waste any time. Setting up the bike computer is easy and you can start riding right out of the box. Seeing the navigation instructions you need at a glance means you won't miss the great view. That's why the Edge Explore is equipped with a 3-inch display that is bright and easy to read – in sunlight, on cloudy days and even in the rain. The touchscreen is quick and effective when used with or without gloves.

Towards Adventure
With Edge Explore, you can get lost in your adventure without losing your way. The cycling map is preloaded and will guide you to almost any destination – from roads through beautiful landscapes to restaurants and bike shops. The routes are created using Trendline Popularity Routing, which incorporates billions of kilometers of cycling data. This means you can find your way like a local on the routes and paths that are actually used by cyclists. Along the way, Edge Explore provides turn-by-turn directions. If you get off route, that's no problem either, because the device will guide you back on track or back to the starting point if you leave the route or want to go home early.

Better situational awareness when cycling
Edge Explore is compatible with our Varia™ cycling safety products, including radar and smart bike lights. Pair radar with Edge to get alerts right on Edge's display, like when cars are approaching from behind. This helps you see traffic and be more visible to drivers. Edge Explore offers emergency assistance and built-in incident notification1 that automatically sends your location to an emergency contact if you get into trouble.

Connected on the go
Leave your phone in your pocket and just enjoy the ride, because Edge Explore provides all the smart connections you need. LiveTrack lets friends and family track your real-time location, and GroupTrack lets you keep an eye on up to 50 of your fellow riders. If your fellow riders are going a little faster or slower, rider-to-rider messaging (with a compatible smartphone) lets you send predefined messages from your Edge bike computer to the other person's device. Let your friends know if you'll catch up in a few minutes or if they should go ahead without you. If you get a flat tire or need help, you can message your fellow riders whose devices are paired with GroupTrack so they can find you.

Easily customize your Edge Explore bike computer with free apps, widgets, and data fields from our Connect IQ™™ store. Apps like AccuWeather MinuteCast let you know when the rain will stop so you can start your ride. If you plan your rides on sites like Strava, Komoot, or Wikiloc, download those apps so your favorite routes are imported right to your Edge and you can follow them. If you're looking for a nearby coffee shop or bike shop, use the Yelp app to download their locations and create a direct route to them on your Edge.
