Textured grips on the side of the handset ensure a secure hold, while an intuitive menu navigation further enhances ease of use. The large phonebook can store up to 150 contacts. You can add 32 numbers to a block list and choose whether calls are completely blocked or simply indicated by a visual signal. Anonymous calls without caller ID can also be handled in the same way. This way, you can enjoy peace and quiet from unwanted calls.

With up to 20 minutes of recording time, the integrated digital answering machine offers ample space for important messages and reliably saves recordings even during power outages. If you're away from home for an extended period, simply use the remote access option. To configure the answering machine to your liking, you can freely adjust the recording length and record a personalized greeting.

ECO DECT for radiation-free telephony

Like all Gigaset cordless phones, the E290 series phones are equipped with environmentally friendly ECO DECT technology. The phones are radiation-free in standby mode, even when multiple handsets are in use, provided the base station and all registered handsets support ECO DECT. During a call, the transmission power automatically adjusts to the distance between the base station and the handset. The shorter the distance to the base station, the lower the radiation. For maximum DECT range, you can deactivate ECO DECT mode at any time.
