The Homematic IP Flush-Mounted Dimming Actuator is part of the Homematic IP Smart Home system and can be used to switch lights on and off, as well as dim them. The dimming actuator is compact, so it fits easily into standard flush-mounted or surface-mounted boxes. Existing lighting systems can be modernized in just a few steps by using existing cables and can be controlled wirelessly in the future via a remote control, a wall switch, or the free smartphone app. Because the actuator is a trailing-edge phase-cut dimmer, it is suitable for traditional incandescent lamps, halogen lamps, dimmable energy-saving lamps, and most dimmable LED lamps. The fully electronic trailing-edge phase-cut dimmer has been specially optimized for energy-saving lamps with a switching capacity between 3 and 80 VA. The modern electronics enable silent operation. If the dimmer is integrated into a Homematic IP system, the light output can be conveniently dimmed in 0.5% increments.
