These entry-level smart managed switches offer Layer 2 switching capabilities, gigabit connectivity, and flexible management modes—all at an affordable price. With a flexible management dashboard, Power over Ethernet (PoE) options, and energy-efficient features, these switches offer a solid business network for SMBs on a budget.

main features

Gigabit connectivity for small businesses
– The Aruba Instant On 1830 Switch Series is a smart managed Layer 2 Ethernet switch series available in six models with 8, 24 and 48 ports for non-PoE and Class 4 PoE models.
– Two (2) or four (4) dedicated 1G SFP fiber ports on 8-port models and four dedicated 1G/10G SFP+ fiber ports on 24- and 48-port models to eliminate network-wide bottlenecks.
– The PoE models deliver up to 30W of PoE power for PoE Class 4 devices such as access points, surveillance cameras and VoIP phones. The 8-, 24-, and 48-port PoE models offer 65W, 195W, and 370W power budgets, respectively, to support the latest IoT devices.
– The 8-port Non-PoE switch can be powered with an upstream Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) switch when AC power is unavailable.

Simplify network deployment and management
– The Aruba Instant On 1830 Switch Series offers easy-to-use, plug-and-play deployment.
– The switches can be deployed in two management modes: Instant On Cloud management (accessible via mobile app and/or web portal) and the local web GUI.
– With Class 4 PoE options, devices such as IP phones, surveillance cameras and access points can be powered without the additional cost of additional cabling.

Protect your business with built-in security features
– The Aruba Instant On 1830 Switch Series is equipped with security features such as IEEE 802.1x, Global Storm Control, TPM (Trusted Platform Module) based security and VLAN, protecting your network from unwanted or unauthorized access.
– With 802.1X with a RADIUS server, you ensure that only known and authorized users can access your network.
– Automated Denial-of-Service (DOS) monitors and protects the network from malicious attacks.

Better energy efficient properties to reduce the ecological footprint
– The Aruba Instant On 1830 Switch Series features Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) and is 802.3az compliant to conserve power during periods of low data activity.
– Energy Saving Cooling – With variable speed fans that only run at the required speed to maintain operating temperature and avoid excessive noise and power consumption.
– Compact and fanless 8-port and 24-port (non-PoE) models for acoustically sensitive environments.
– PoE Scheduling allows users to configure a specific day of the week/time (e.g. business hours) for Instant On Switches to provide power to connected devices (e.g. surveillance cameras, access points, etc.).
