Black nickel-plated, 6x6mm heatpipes, large heatsink and a fin design that supports RAM with a maximum height of 33mm – Black Ridge offers pure performance in minimal space.

To ensure the necessary airflow, the included 92mm PWM fan is mounted on the underside of the heatsink. This not only reduces noise in tight systems but also allows for a maximum height of just 47mm.

The included screw mounting system has been designed to ensure the best possible compatibility with mini-ITX motherboards.

VGA compatibility on mini-ITX motherboards
An asymmetrical design of the heatsink enables full VGA compatibility on most mini-ITX motherboards.

Heat pipes
6 heat pipes transport the processor's waste heat quickly and efficiently to the soldered aluminum fins of the heatsink.

Expandable fan configuration “Performance and Overclocking Mode”
For even more flexibility in implementing your project, two different mounting brackets are included. One pair of brackets is suitable for mounting a 120x120x12/15mm fan on the underside of the heatsink. When combined with VLP RAM, the heatsink's performance can be further increased. Furthermore, a pair of brackets is included for mounting a 120x120x25mm fan on top of the fin pack. In this configuration, the Alpenföhn Black Ridge offers the highest performance.

PWM fan
The built-in 92x92x15mm PWM fan has a 4-pin connector and can therefore be controlled via the motherboard. This allows for speed adjustment between 800 and 2,800 rpm, allowing a minimum of 14 dB(A) and a maximum of 80.03 m³/h.

Important information for using the Alpenföhn Black Ridge
Please note that the Alpenföhn Black Ridge is a powerful cooler with a maximum TDP of 95W for use in compact cases. Out of the box, the cooler features a 92x92x15mm fan for optimal compatibility, and overclocking your CPU is not recommended. Performance enhancements can be achieved using the “Performance” or “Overclocking” mode with alternative fan configurations. The extent to which the cooling performance can be increased in these two modes depends on the fan used and cannot be precisely specified by Alpenföhn®.
However, it may happen that the heatsink's performance is insufficient despite your CPU's supported TDP. This issue can occur with processor series with the K, X, and C suffixes if a TDP limit is disabled or if the board automatically overclocks the CPU due to incorrect settings, which can lead to, for example, higher power consumption.
