The NH-L9a-AM4 is the latest, AM4-specific revision of Noctua's award-winning NH-L9a low-profile cooler for AMD Ryzen-based HTPCs and Small Form Factor (SFF) systems. With a super-slim profile of just 37mm, the NH-L9a is ideal for smaller cases, and thanks to its compact footprint, the cooler not only offers full compatibility with high-capacity memory modules and PCIe cards, but also allows convenient access to socket-level connectors, even on densely populated mini-ITX motherboards. The customized SecuFirm2 mounting system for AM4 makes installation a breeze, and the highly optimized NF-A9x14 premium fan with PWM support for automatic speed control guarantees exceptional quietness. The scope of delivery is rounded off by Noctua's renowned NT-H1 thermal paste – thus, the NH-L9a-AM4 combines all the advantages of larger Noctua coolers in an extremely compact, all-round high-quality complete package for ITX and HTPC systems with Ryzen CPUs or APUs.
The NH-L9a is an extremely compact, quiet, low-profile cooler designed for use in small cases and HTPC environments. The cooler offers excellent cooling performance in its class, but is not suitable for overclocking and is only recommended for CPUs or APUs with up to 95W TDP (Thermal Design Power). 37mm height
Thanks to the extremely low heatsink (23mm) and the slim 14mm NF-A9x14 fan, the overall height of the NH-L9 is just 37mm. This makes the cooler ideal for compact HTPCs and small form factor cases that offer very little space for CPU coolers.

100% RAM compatibility
The NH-L9a-AM4 features a compact footprint that fits precisely within AMD's specified keep-out zones. This means that neither the cooler nor the fan protrude above the RAM slots, ensuring convenient memory access and full compatibility with tall modules.

100% compatibility with PCIe cards on mini-ITX
On some AMD-based mini-ITX motherboards, the PCIe slot is located close to the CPU socket. While larger coolers that extend beyond this zone sometimes block the PCIe slot, the compact NH-L9a-AM4 offers full compatibility with PCIe cards.

Easy access to socket-near connections

With the Low-Noise Adapter (LNA), the speed of the NF-A9x14 PWM fan can be reduced from 2500 to 1800 rpm. This allows for virtually silent systems with CPUs with a TDP below 65W.
