We forge the Knipex Cobra from chrome-vanadium steel and use a multi-stage hardening process to achieve the optimal balance of hardness and toughness. This makes it extremely durable. For a permanently secure grip on the workpiece, we also heat the gripping teeth to a hardness of approximately 61 HRC using high-frequency current.
