Highest availability for your SD-WAN
This high-end SD-WAN gateway combines two VDSL supervectoring modems in just one device for the first time for a bandwidth of 2x 300 Mbit/s by using both connections simultaneously. Alternatively, the device can also be operated on a G.Fast Gigabit connection. The additional LTE Advanced module also guarantees maximum availability as an Internet backup. Equipped with state-of-the-art SD-WAN technology for secure and automated VPN site networking, the LANCOM 1926VAG-4G is the top solution for business-critical applications in medium-sized and large branch infrastructures.
Advantages
Multi-WAN & Backup
The LANCOM 1926 series are the first routers on the market with two integrated VDSL supervectoring modems for up to 2x 300 Mbit/s in total. Alternatively, they can be connected via G.Fast with up to 1,000 Mbit/s using one of the two modems. In addition, thanks to the SFP port, they can be operated directly on fast fiber optic connections. They also operate any external DSL or cable modem via WAN Ethernet. The LTE Advanced modem additionally integrated in the LANCOM 1926VAG-4G ensures fast mobile access with up to 300 Mbit/s, including two SIM card slots. This makes it ideal for intelligent backup scenarios.
Active/Active (Load Balancing)
The LANCOM 1926VAG-4G enables the parallel use of multiple Internet access points for ideal load distribution and increased bandwidth. In mixed operation of 2x VDSL supervectoring, fiber optic and dual-SIM mobile communications, it enables unrivaled availability and bandwidth. The LANCOM 1926VAG-4G thus offers maximum future security for performance-hungry SD-WAN scenarios in business-critical environments.
LANCOM SD-WAN – Next-level networking
With LANCOM SD-WAN, you can manage and monitor your entire corporate network centrally, cost-effectively, quickly and stress-free! In combination with the LANCOM Management Cloud, the SD-WAN gateway opens up all the possibilities for automated setup of secure VPN connections (Auto-VPN) between locations, including network virtualization. Highlight features such as High Scalability VPN (HSVPN) and Advanced Mesh VPN offer you a significant increase in scalability and efficiency for many branches and applications. If several WAN connections are defined, they are automatically operated in Active/Active mode (load balancing), thereby increasing the total available bandwidth. With Dynamic Path Selection and Dynamic Traffic Steering, applications are also dynamically routed via the currently best connection.
Next-Generation SD-WAN: High Scalability VPN (HSVPN)
The LANCOM 1926VAG-4G supports High Scalability VPN (HSVPN). Constantly growing digitization, more application diversity and higher data volumes require powerful and modern networks. High Scalability VPN significantly improves the scalability and efficiency of your architecture. Where previously a single VPN tunnel was required for each application, HSVPN bundles any number of networks in a single VPN tunnel and transports them together to the remote site – each network remains secure and strictly separated from one another. The advantage for your business: significantly fewer VPN tunnels are required and faster recovery times in the event of failover.
Secure communication via VPN
With virtual private networks (VPN), you use the public medium of the Internet as a communication channel and secure the connection in such a way that the communication remains completely inaccessible to outsiders. This SD-WAN gateway already offers you 25 integrated IPSec VPN channels for secure encryption, so that the protection of internal company data is always guaranteed when connecting mobile employees, home offices or branch offices. With the LANCOM VPN option, you can also upgrade the device to up to 100 VPN channels, so that the infrastructure can easily grow as needed without additional hardware.
Advanced Routing & Forwarding
The LANCOM 1926VAG-4G provides up to 64 securely isolated and separately routed IP contexts. An elegant way to route all IP applications via a central router and to securely separate the various communication channels from one another.
Professional telephony functions thanks to LANCOM VCM (Voice Call Manager)
The LANCOM Voice Call Manager is already integrated in the LANCOM 1926VAG-4G and is equipped with extensive telephony functions. It takes on classic tasks for telephone management and controls all telecommunications functions of SIP, ISDN and analog components connected to the router. It also enables the easy integration of DECT telephony via the auto-provisioning of the LANCOM DECT 510 IP base station.
Integrated Session Border Controller
The LANCOM Voice Call Manager offers common functions of a session border controller: This enables the secure separation of external (insecure) and internal (secure) networks. For high call quality, voice packets are given preferential treatment thanks to bandwidth reservation (quality of service). In addition, the VCM, as a SIP proxy, enables the professional management of signaling and voice data for high security when setting up, making and terminating telephone calls, including the necessary protocol conversion via transcoding.
First-class full-metal housing
The LANCOM 1926VAG-4G comes in a high-quality full-metal housing with an integrated 230V power supply. Thanks to the mounting device, it can be easily installed in a 19″ rack – connections at the front also ensure quick, practical access.
Upgrade to up to 100 VPN tunnels
Ideal for fast and secure LANCOM home office solutions: Upgrade the VPN capacities of your LANCOM 19xx series router now in a sustainable and resource-saving way! With the LANCOM VPN 100 option, you can securely integrate up to 100 locations or external employees into the company network at the same time!
What does Active/Active (Load Balancing) mean?
Active/Active is used to distribute the load of data in the network across Internet lines that are used in parallel. This means that data connections are evenly distributed across at least two lines, and the individual bandwidths of the lines are added together (2×300 MBit/s = 600 MBit/s). Even if one line fails, the connection via the other line is always secured.
Application scenario with one client
A client is connected to the Internet via the 1926 series router (2x supervectoring with 300 Mbit/s each). The download speed per session is 300 Mbit/s. The load balancer integrated in the router decides, depending on the load, whether to use Internet line 1 (VDSL) or Internet line 2 (VDSL).
Application scenario with two clients
Two clients are connected to the Internet via the 1926 series router (2x supervectoring with 300 Mbit/s each). Thanks to the load balancer integrated in the router, both clients can now work in parallel with a download speed of 300 Mbit/s each, as this enables the data load to be distributed across both VDSL Internet lines with supervectoring (1 & 2). This enables a maximum load of 300 Mbit/s and, as a result, an enormous increase in network effectiveness.

Application scenario load balancing and VDSL / LTE backup of Internet access
Application scenario load balancing and VDSL / LTE backup of Internet access
Thanks to 2 VDSL supervectoring modems, the 1926 series enables both Internet lines (1&2) to be combined into a load balancer network. This means that in addition to a fair load distribution, if one line fails, the other can take over the data traffic. The additional integrated LTE modem in the LANCOM 1926VAG-4G can be used for a backup connection in the event that the physical lines fail – an ideal solution for maximum availability in business-critical environments.
Application Scenario VPN Load Balancing
Thanks to the integrated load balancer, IKEv2 VPN connections can also be conveniently combined to form a load balancer network. Regardless of whether this is combined with a LANCOM router, central site VPN gateway or the innovative LANCOM vRouter: In addition to improved load distribution and taking over data traffic if a connection breaks down, the combination significantly increases the VPN bandwidth for several clients.
Application scenario load balancing with two all-IP lines
Thanks to integrated VCM and SBC, the LANCOM 1926VAG and LANCOM 1926VAG-4G devices are ideal for seamless migration from ISDN / analog to All-IP. SIP lines can be permanently bound to the desired Internet connection (All-IP line 1 or 2) as desired. The load balancer is used to distribute Internet traffic.
