Dual Concurrent WLAN with up to 867 Mbps
The LANCOM LW-500 offers one WLAN radio module according to IEEE 802.11ac Wave 2 (Wi-Fi 5) and one according to IEEE 802.11n (Wi-Fi 4). This allows both 11n clients in the 2.4 GHz frequency band and the increasing number of modern 11ac-enabled devices in the 5 GHz band to be provided with fast WLAN.

Modern web interface for operation as a standalone device
For stand-alone operation, the intuitive web interface of the new WEBconfig offers an excellent overview for comprehensive management and monitoring. The device is set up in just a few moments. Modern dashboards clearly display the current WLAN status and allow for the easy configuration of individual WLAN networks (SSIDs) and their corresponding network keys. Additional smart features, such as the easy integration of new clients via QR codes, are also available.

Operation via LANCOM Management Cloud
The LANCOM LW-500 offers maximum user-friendliness: Managed via the LANCOM Management Cloud, it is integrated into a holistic, automated network orchestration based on software-defined networking technology.

Operation via a WLAN controller
The LANCOM LW-500 offers maximum flexibility in terms of operating mode. In addition to stand-alone operation or integration into the LANCOM Management Cloud, management can also be carried out centrally via a WLAN controller.

The white LANCOM LW-500 with integrated antennas impresses with its unobtrusive and harmonious design. Its round smoke detector shape makes it ideal for discreet use in hotel lobbies or meeting rooms, allowing it to blend seamlessly into any environment.

Flexible power supply
The LANCOM LW-500 can be flexibly powered via Power over Ethernet (PoE) according to IEEE 802.3af from any PoE-powered Ethernet port. Alternatively, the access point can be powered via the included power adapter with various plug adapters (EU, UK, US, AU).

WLAN security standard WPA3
WPA3, the successor to WPA2, offers important enhancements and security features for small (“WPA3-Personal”) and large networks (“WPA3-Enterprise”).

This requires that the access point is operated directly on a LANCOM device that supports Public Spot, or via the LANCOM Management Cloud, together with a LANCOM device that supports Public Spot in your network. As the hotspot provider, you have the assurance that your own network remains separate from the hotspot.
