Wi-Fi 7 for medium-sized, future-proof wireless networks
The LANCOM LX-7200 Wi-Fi 7 access point combines maximum security, sustainability, and intelligent automation for modern, medium-density WLAN environments. By exclusively utilizing the 6 GHz frequency band, reserved solely for WLAN, it ensures interference-free operation with low latency and maximum bandwidth. Its contemporary design blends seamlessly into any environment, while easy mounting allows for quick and straightforward installation. A USB interface enables convenient plug-in connection of wireless modules for digital price tags from manufacturers such as SoluM, Hanshow, and VUSION. Furthermore, the LX-7200 already supports Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) 5.4, allowing for seamless integration of future ESL (Electronic Shelf Label) applications.

Faster data transfer
With Wi-Fi 7, you benefit from a speed boost of up to 240% compared to Wi-Fi 6. This is due to a doubling of the usable frequency range for WLAN through additional 6 GHz frequencies, a doubled maximum channel width (320 MHz instead of the previous 160 MHz), and increased information density during transmission (4096 QAM instead of the previous 1024 QAM) compared to Wi-Fi 6. The LANCOM LX-7200 thus offers a maximum aggregated transmission rate of 9.3 Gbit/s across all frequency bands.

Wi-Fi 7 designed for Retail – powerful, cost-optimized and future-proof
The LANCOM LX-7200 addresses several challenges of modern retail. It enables high-performance and stable wireless networks that seamlessly integrate applications such as mobile payment, fail-safe POS connections, self-checkout solutions, and customer apps. Supporting all WLAN frequency bands, including the exclusive 6 GHz band, the access point offers interference-free wireless operation, maximum performance, and long-term investment security. This makes it the ideal solution for branch networks, pop-up stores, and omnichannel strategies.

Triple Wi-Fi support: Supports the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and the exclusive 6 GHz band for maximum stability.
Triple ESL manufacturer support: compatibility with VUSION, SoluM and Hanshow.
Dual ESL technology support: Integrated BLE radio module and the option to connect external USB radio modules.
This concept guarantees future-proofing and flexibility in decisions regarding network infrastructure and the choice of ESL manufacturers and technologies (e.g., future BLE-based ESL solutions). Easy installation combined with theft protection, automated commissioning and WLAN optimization, as well as an excellent price-performance ratio, make the LANCOM LX-7200 the ideal solution for the retail sector.

Practical case design
The design of the LANCOM LX-7200 is based on decades of market experience and valuable user feedback. Its flattened sides give it a discreet appearance that blends harmoniously into any environment. With IP50 protection, including rubber port seals, the access point is dustproof. It also features certified fire resistance and low-smoke properties in the event of a fire (UL 2043). The compact mounting bracket with locking mechanism not only deters opportunistic theft but is also compatible with the mounting holes of numerous manufacturers.

Optionally, the LANCOM LX-7000 series offers a specially developed mounting device for ergonomic and time-saving installation on T-beams of suspended ceilings.

Uninterrupted use of the 6 GHz frequency band for modern and future applications
Take a seat in the VIP lounge on Wi-Fi: The LANCOM LX-7200 offers an exclusive, interference-free Wi-Fi network in the 6 GHz frequency band. While the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands can be used by other wireless technologies such as alarm systems or audio applications, the broadband 6 GHz spectrum is reserved exclusively for Wi-Fi use. This enables interference-free Wi-Fi connections with minimal latency and maximum data throughput. Responsive connections and time-critical Wi-Fi applications, in particular, benefit from this.

Carpooling in the radio field – OFDMA for more efficient data traffic
Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) also aims to optimize the use of the radio field: The frequency range of a WLAN channel is divided into several frequency blocks within a unit of time, thus creating sub-channels (sub-carriers) with a narrow channel width of up to 2 MHz. This prevents small data packets, which often originate from IoT devices, from occupying and blocking an entire channel with a width of 20, 40, or even 80 MHz. In addition, the LX-7200 bundles several sub-channels and transports them together, similar to a carpool, to enable the smoothest possible radio communication.

Reduced overall energy consumption thanks to LANCOM Active Power Control
Against the backdrop of rising energy costs and the growing societal demand for sustainable solutions, LANCOM Active Power Control offers the ideal solution for your network infrastructure. This intelligent, cloud-based optimization solution dynamically adjusts the provided WLAN capacity and reduces the energy consumption of your WLAN infrastructure without compromising operational reliability. In “Sustainability Mode,” the functions of the access points are minimized during idle periods, resulting in lower PoE power consumption. Centralized energy monitoring provides you with transparency regarding your energy consumption.

Professional IoT support
The LANCOM LX-7200 allows you to easily immerse yourself in the world of the Internet of Things (IoT). Support for BLE 5.4 and USB 2.0 opens up numerous possibilities for communicating with modern BLE sensors in devices or objects and for using innovative applications such as asset tracking or digital signage. This allows you to easily operate solutions for electronic shelf labels and other IoT applications via the optionally available LANCOM Wireless ePaper USB.

More stable transmission quality
Multi-Link Operation (MLO) automatically utilizes the higher-quality available frequency band, or even employs two frequency bands simultaneously. Furthermore, Multi-RU & Puncturing effectively mitigates the previously severe consequences of interference. This ensures significantly more reliable transmission and reception quality, especially in radio environments with high signal density.

Perfect Wi-Fi at the touch of a button – with LANCOM Active Radio Control™ 2.0
Especially in the retail sector, stores are often located in urban environments characterized by a high number of external Wi-Fi networks, which in turn directly impact the quality of a retailer's own Wi-Fi signal. LANCOM Active Power Control™ 2.0 is an intelligent optimization solution that automatically ensures the best possible performance, without requiring any specialized Wi-Fi expertise.

Flexible operation via LANCOM Management Cloud, modern web interface or WLAN controller
Choose freely between operation via the LANCOM Management Cloud, stand-alone via WEBconfig, or a WLAN controller! In cloud operation, the LANCOM LX-7200 becomes part of a user-friendly, comprehensive, and automated network management system. Even in stand-alone operation, the LX-7200 offers quick configuration and comprehensive management & monitoring thanks to the intuitive and clearly structured web interface of the new WEBconfig. As a third option, centralized management via a WLAN controller is also available.
