Without carrier = twice as fast
Because the 3.5″ hard drive doesn't need to be secured in a carrier, you don't need a screwdriver, and installation and removal can be done twice as quickly. The space of a 5.25″ bay is required. SATA hard drives with SATA I, II, and III speeds are supported.

No fan = whisper quiet
The housing of the removable drive bay is made almost entirely of aluminum, with only the front and rear panels made of hard plastic. Aluminum is very sturdy, despite being very lightweight, but above all, it's known for its excellent thermal conductivity. This eliminates the need for a noisy fan without damaging the hard drive. A 12V fan can be optionally connected (not included).

With lock = worry-free
To protect the hard drive from unauthorized access, the hard drive slot can be locked. An LED indicates operation and access, but there's no alarm for hard drive errors or similar events. Those who value peace and quiet will appreciate this.
