LevelOne's POR-0120 is a Gigabit PoE repeater. It allows you to extend the standard 100m limit for PoE networks by an additional 100m. Multiple POR-0120s can be daisy-chained.
POR-0120 is powered by the Gigabit PoE switch (or Gigabit PoE injector), so no power supply is required to operate the repeater.
A simple application example is the installation of a PoE device 200 meters away from the Gigabit PoE switch.
The Gigabit PoE switch transmits power and data over the first 100m. The POR-0120 processes the power and data signals and transmits them a further 100m to the PoE device.
