Description

Schleich Dinosaurs Tyrannosaurus Rex. Recommended age in years (min.): 4 years, Product color: Multicolored, Material: Plastic

The Tyrannosaurus Rex looked very menacing, but had little use for its short, two-clawed forelegs, which didn't even reach its mouth. At almost seven meters tall and almost thirteen meters long, the Tyrannosaurus Rex was probably not a particularly good hunter, but rather a scavenger that lived off the scraps left by other animals. It had more than fifty teeth, each more than 15 centimeters long, which it used not for chewing but only for tearing, as it swallowed its food in large pieces. To improve depth perception when searching for food, the Tyrannosaurus Rex's eyes faced forward, so that the fields of vision of both eyes overlapped. Anecdote: If this mighty predatory dinosaur lost one of its dagger-like teeth, a new one grew in within a few weeks. – Scientific name: Tyrannosaurus Rex – Conservation status: extinct – Main habitat: forest – Geographical area: North America
