Transcend's DrivePro 230Q Data Privacy is a special edition of the DP230 dashcam developed specifically for the German market. It has been adapted to local legislation and offers extensive data protection through adapted loop functions and the absence of parking monitoring. The DrivePro 230Q Data Privacy is equipped with a light-sensitive Exmor image sensor, a GPS/GLONASS receiver, a practical snapshot button and WLAN.

Maximum data protection
Conventional dashcams often record videos in a loop until the memory card reaches its capacity limit. The loop function of the DrivePro 230Q Data Privacy has been adapted so that only a maximum of three minutes of video material is retained before the camera begins to overwrite the oldest material. Only event-related recordings are protected from being overwritten, either automatically via a G-sensor or manually by pressing the emergency recording button. Permanent, random surveillance is therefore not possible with the DrivePro 230Q Data Privacy and infringement of personal rights is reduced to a minimum.

The DrivePro 230Q Data Privacy uses the Exmor™ sensor to capture high-resolution images with excellent and intense color quality even in low light conditions. The integrated Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) technology balances the light and dark areas of the captured images and ensures that every shot is as clear as possible.

GPS/GLONASS receiver
The GPS/GLONASS receiver of the DrivePro 230Q Data Privacy can log coordinates, date and time in recorded video materials. In the event of an accident, coordinates can be precisely located so that emergency services, police or insurance agents can respond more quickly.

Practical snapshot function
The snapshot button allows you to take photos while recording a video. In the event of an accident, for example, you can remove the DrivePro 230Q Data Privacy from the vehicle and create a more detailed photographic record of the damage, optionally using the video and photo functions.

Built-in battery
A built-in Li-polymer battery ensures an uninterrupted power supply to the device. This means that videos continue to be recorded in the event of an accident or if the engine is switched off.

emergency recording mode
In the event of a collision, the DrivePro 230Q Data Privacy's motion G-sensor detects the impact and triggers the emergency recording mode. This prevents the file recorded at that time from being overwritten. This function can also be activated manually by pressing the red button on the side of the device quickly and easily.

Wi-Fi connectivity
The DrivePro 230Q Data Privacy features Wi-Fi connectivity along with the exclusive DrivePro app for real-time playback and downloading of footage. This means access to video evidence can be easily shared for law enforcement and insurance reporting without having to remove the memory card.

lane keeping assist
The Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) helps prevent accidents by issuing a warning when a vehicle drifts out of a lane. The system monitors lane markings and displays an on-screen warning, while an audible warning is triggered when the vehicle's speed exceeds a preset value or when the vehicle deviates from its path.

forward collision warning system
The forward collision warning system warns the driver when the vehicle speed exceeds a preset value and the vehicle is in danger of getting too close to the vehicle ahead. The driver is then notified of the system with a warning tone and an on-screen alarm.

headlight memory
When the DrivePro detects poor lighting conditions, e.g. at dusk or in dark places such as tunnels or garages, the headlight reminder is automatically activated and reminds the driver to turn on the lights.

rest break alarm
To prevent tired drivers from getting into an accident, the rest break alarm regularly reminds the driver to take driving breaks according to a preset period of time determined by the driver.

Exclusive DrivePro Toolbox software
In addition to the classic playback function, Transcend's DrivePro Toolbox offers a sorting function to quickly locate video clips by file name, recording date or group. The DrivePro Toolbox also offers a screenshot function that allows you to capture a single frame. For DrivePro models with a GPS/GLONASS receiver, the Toolbox can also display the current position of the vehicle on a map along with the recorded video.
