10G Stackable Full-Layer-3 Multi-Gigabit PoE++ Access Switch
The LANCOM XS-4530YUP access switch offers wire-speed performance even under heavy network load, making it ideal for the requirements of data-intensive infrastructures in enterprise environments. 12x 2.5G and 12x 10G multi-gigabit Ethernet ports, as well as Power over Ethernet IEEE 802.3bt (PoE++) on all ports, ensure the networking of Wi-Fi 7 access points or other network components with high energy and performance requirements. Redundancy functions such as Virtual Port Channel (VPC) and stacking enable network operation with 100% uptime, supporting in-service software updates (ISSU), and 400 Gbps VPC and stacking speeds. Redundant and hot-swappable power supplies and fan modules, as well as an included LANCOM Limited Lifetime Warranty (LLW), ensure the reliable operation of the LANCOM XS-4530YUP. For switch management, you can either use the web-based GUI and the standardized CLI or switch to the LANCOM Management Cloud (LMC), which enables uniform network management through clever automation or features such as central port templates.

Highlights

High performance on 30 ports
The LANCOM XS-4530YUP is equipped with 12x 2.5G Multi-Gigabit PoE++ Ethernet ports, 12x 10G Multi-Gigabit PoE++ Ethernet ports, as well as 4x SFP28 and 2x QSFP28 ports, supporting transmission rates of 25 and 100 Gbps, respectively. With the SFP28 and QSFP28 ports, you can continue to use your existing fiber optic infrastructure while benefiting from higher bandwidths per port. This reduces hardware purchases in the long term, reducing your capital expenditures (CapEx). With a data throughput of 900 Gbps on the backplane, the switch offers wire-speed performance even under high load. This makes the Multi-Gigabit Access Switch a powerful foundation for modern network infrastructures in all industries and application areas.

Network design with 100% uptime per VPC
To increase the reliability of large network infrastructures, Virtual Port Channel (VPC), or Multi-chassis Link Aggregation Group (MC-LAG), is the preferred solution. If you connect two LANCOM XS-4530YUPs in a VPC network and connect the underlying network components redundantly, in the event of a failure or in-service software update (ISSU) of one of the switches connected via VPC, the other remains active, thus ensuring 100% uptime. This is possible because both switches remain physically independent devices that only form a virtual network. Furthermore, the link speed of the underlying network components is multiplied, as a VPC network allows multiple connections to the lower layer (active/active). For constant data forwarding, the switches exchange important network information, such as MAC tables, via their peer link.

A high-performance basis for Wi-Fi 7 – PoE included
The LANCOM XS-4530YUP PoE switch, with its twelve high-performance 10G Multi-Gigabit Ethernet ports, is the ideal LAN-side foundation for integrating the Wi-Fi 7 wireless standard into modern infrastructures. Wi-Fi 7 access points or other network components with high transmission speeds and power consumption place increased performance demands on the access layer. To ensure the full performance and range of 10G, cables with higher specifications such as at least CAT6a or CAT7 are required. For a centralized and efficient power supply without additional electrical installations or power supplies, the LANCOM XS-4530YUP supplies connected PoE devices and supports the Power over Ethernet standards IEEE 802.3af (PoE), IEEE 802.3at (PoE+), and IEEE 802.3bt PD Type 4 (PoE++) with up to 90 watts per port. Thanks to high power reserves, a PoE budget of 1,440 watts is available when using both power supplies in power mode.

Advantages

Redundant network topologies through high-performance stacking
Stacking allows up to eight physical switches from the XS-4500 series to be combined into a single logical unit, making it easy to maintain and manage – whether at a single location or distributed across multiple sites. The stacking function can be activated on both the front SFP28 uplink ports and the rear QSFP28 uplink ports. Using the nonstop forwarding function, the stack manager cyclically supplies its standby with current information such as the MAC table and its own status information. In the event of a failure, the standby manager can take over within seconds, ensuring almost 100% network uptime. A firmware update will restart the stack, for which a maintenance window must be scheduled. The entire stack can be conveniently managed and monitored via cloud-managed switch stacking via the LANCOM Management Cloud. Subsequent network expansion is also possible, as the new switch receives its configuration automatically from the stack manager and is ready for use within seconds.

Full control over your investment
Fully equipped ex works, ready to use immediately, everything from a single source: Based on the “Total Cost of Ownership” (TCO) principle, the LANCOM XS-4530YUP gives you planning security regarding the acquisition costs of your network expansion from the outset and at all times. Fully equipped with all necessary industry-standard ports, time-consuming and costly retrofitting with proprietary port modules is a thing of the past. Furthermore, you can obtain the required SFP modules and direct attach cables directly from us in tested LANCOM quality via our accessories portfolio. In addition to the guarantee of maximum operational reliability through extensive load and long-term tests of the modules and interoperability tests with the entire LANCOM portfolio, you also save on long delivery times.

Full-Layer-3 routing for fast data exchange
The LANCOM XS-4530YUP is fully Layer 3 capable with policy-based, dynamic routing via OSPF or BGP4, enabling dynamic network routes across one or more network segments. This significantly increases network efficiency, for example, in mesh networks with multiple aggregation switches at different locations.

Operational reliability with hardware redundancy
The LANCOM XS-4530YUP features a hot-swappable PSU (Power Supply Unit) that allows for quick and uninterrupted replacement of the power supply in the event of a failure. A separate slot allows for the addition of a second PSU. The integration of two redundant power supplies enables highly fail-safe scenarios, for example, or the bundling of PoE power, thus doubling it. In addition, the redundant (N+1) fan concept ensures fail-safe switch operation in the event of one of the two fans failing.

Cloud-managed LAN with port templates
With the LANCOM Management Cloud (LMC) and cloud-managed LAN, the LANCOM XS-4530YUP can be quickly and easily integrated into the network and configured automatically and across locations with just a few clicks. Complex individual device and switch port configurations are now a thing of the past. Targeted switch rollout via the LMC enables automatic VLAN assignment to switch ports, including practical switch port profiles, thus enabling “zero-touch” device assignment – a significant efficiency gain, especially for stack units and with different port assignments at different locations.

Secure Terminal Access allows direct access to the LANCOM switch's command line (“CLI tunneling”) from the LMC – encrypted and, most importantly, without leaving the cloud interface. Secure Terminal Access provides expert functions as well as comprehensive diagnostic and troubleshooting commands for the devices. Some highlights include “trace” and “ping” commands for quick troubleshooting, access to low-level configuration parameters and detailed statistics of the LCOS SX operating system, and secure remote access to third-party devices on the local network via the integrated SSH client.

Configurable access control & secure remote management
The LANCOM XS-4530YUP ensures that no unauthorized clients gain access to the network. This is made possible by secure access control on all ports according to IEEE 802.1X (port-based, single-, multi-, and MAC-based) or access control via ACLs (Access Control Lists). Secure communication protocols such as SSH, SSL, and SNMPv3 enable professional remote network management. Furthermore, the switch supports the TACACS+ protocol for authentication, authorization, and accounting. This is an optimal solution that promises maximum security, especially when managing and monitoring multi-site networks.
