With the new WAP-8231 access point from LevelOne, wireless networks can be created that are not only technically but also visually perfect. With the WAP-8231, the hardware is barely visible: The access point is simply mounted in the wall, like a power outlet. With this new device, hotels and guesthouses, for example, can set up a completely discreet Wi-Fi network for their guests in every room, and the unobtrusive access points are also a real benefit for demanding home users, enabling combined speeds of up to 1800 Mbps. The device operates in the 2.4 and 5 GHz frequency bands and, when controlled via the LevelOne WAC-2010/WAC-2013 Wi-Fi controller, can also be used as part of a managed network. The highlight: The WAP-8231 supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) on the rear panel. An additional power connection is therefore unnecessary; data and power flow through the network cable. The new WAP-8231 can also be easily integrated into existing LevelOne WLANs at a later date – completely discreetly, of course.
